Forum Rakyat Bali Tolak Reklamasi (ForBALI) Grows Stronger, Art Empowered in Distinguished Concepts

On December 13, 2015, in Padang Galak, Kesiman, Denpasar, Nawa Sanga Art Event Bali Tolak Reklamasi 2015 becomes the theme of the year’s event. The grand occasion with collaborative work in mind showcased the lineups of various performances from bands, bondres traditional show, traditional dances from numerous sekehe teruna from different banjar, and theater performance.

Resistance Supports from Nine Point of Compass in Nawa Sanga Bali Tolak Reklamasi Art Event 2015

In this occasion, various elements of people come together with different expressions of arts from numerous creative collective in Bali. This is a little effort from many waves of resistance from Balinese people against Benoa Bay reclamation.

Nawa Sanga represents in 13 meter heights by 5 meter in diameter of left fist sculpture. This sculpture is the symbol of Lingga Yoni from people in Bali against 700 hectare of Benoa Bay reclamation plan, in which every process related to the permit is deemed unlawful.

The fund for the event is earned from the people who are contributing voluntarily, and could be accounted for later on. The contribution also comes in the forms of work, idea, and equipment.

Just like in the previous year, the event is also open for public. The visitor could also freely donate, and the admission collected would be use to fund the next rally to resist the Benoa Bay reclamation.
