Ekosistem yang Anda kunjungi tahun lalu, sekarang sedang terancam oleh rencana reklamasi untuk membuat kepulauan buatan baru, dan ini mengancam keberadaan bakau yang telah Anda usahakan untuk diselamatkan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kawasan Teluk Benoa, di mana Anda menanam bakau bersama Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono merupakan daerah yang telah lama menjadi target investor besar, PT Tirta Wahana Bali International. Di kepulauan baru ini akan digunakan untuk dikembangkan fasilitas wisata mewah seperti hotel, apartemen villa, dan pusat hiburan termasuk taman hiburan sekelas Disneyland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Presiden Indonesia, yang menanam bakau bersama Anda, baru saja menandatangani Peraturan Presiden Nomor 51 tahun 2014 pada 30 Mei 2014. Inti dari peraturan ini adalah untuk mengubah peruntukan kawasan konservasi perairan Teluk Benoa menjadi zona pemanfaatan umum, dan untuk direklamasi maksimal 700 hektar. Keputusan ini akhirnya mengarah pada restunya untuk melakukan reklamasi dari Teluk Benoa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kita tahu bahwa sekali suatu daerah dikembangkan untuk pariwisata dalam skala besar, dan melalui reklamasi lahan yang tidak wajar, ekosistem bakau dapat terancam. Sangat disayangkan, usaha Anda untuk menanmkan kesadaran akan pentingnya bakau juga sekarang sedang terancam.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kami meminta perhatian Anda. Kami memohon bantuan Anda untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran akan bahaya yang sedang dihadapi Teluk Benoa. Sebagai seorang figur yang dikenal, Anda telah menunjukkan pentingnya menyelamatkan hutan bakau kepada dunia, terutama karena perannya dalam menyelamatkan kita dari bencana seperti Tsunami. Sekarang kami meminta Anda untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran yang sama; bahwa Teluk Benoa akan berfungsi dengan baik jika daerah itu dibiarkan seperti sebagaimana mestinya, sebuah kawasan konservasi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Menjadi harapan kami bahwa Anda akan bergabung dengan kami di gerakan masyarakat untuk menyelamatkan Teluk Benoa.
